Can Muir’s Dejon Williams (#1) and Taeon Mason (right) point the way to the Southeast Finals?
Norwalk is unbeaten and Muir has won 11 straight but La Serna might be the hottest team in the Southeast right now. Here’s how they stack up.
1. Norwalk (12-0) – Nor-Rock is undefeated. Where else should the Lancers be? No doubt Muir is their biggest obstacle yet but they’ve cleared every hurdle so far.
2. La Serna (10-2) – Maybe the hottest Southeast team right now. La Serna has outscored two playoff opponents 106-14.
3. Muir (11-1) – No Dejon Williams, no problem. Muir just keeps rolling. Every time the Mustangs are doubted they come up big. Oh, and by the way they haven’t lost since September 6.
4. Burbank 10-2) – It’s funny to call a 10-2 team a surprise but that’s what the Bulldogs are. There were several Southeast teams that we thought we would see in the Semi-Finals and Burbank wasn’t one of them. But with a strong running attack and solid defense, the Bulldogs have arrived. Now they get La Serna.
