- Wyndham Clark won the U.S. Open by one stroke over Sam Burns Sunday. Clark finished at four under par for the Tournament.
- Kyle Schwarber hit three home runs and Bryce Harper hit for the cycle to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 15-3 win over the New York Mets Saturday.
- The Tennessee Titans signed defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons to a three-year, $105.8 million extension.
- Muir beat Bonita in five overtimes Saturday to win the Colony Classic. It was Muir’s second straight passing tournament victory after winning the SGV Shootout at Arroyo the week before.
- The Dodgers lost to the Baltimore Orioles 12-1 Sunday and lost two out of three in the series.
- Bonita won the 5 v 5 Linemen Competition at the Colony Classic.
- ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins has agreed to become the men’s basketball general manager at Jackson State.
- On this date in 1994 the Houston Rockets beat the New York Knicks 90-84 in Game 7 of the NBA Finals to clinch the Rockets first-ever NBA championship. Houston center Hakeem Olajuwon was named Finals MVP.
