1. Jimbo Fisher signs a new five-year, $21 million deal with Florida State.

2. Tim Tebow says he’s not done with football despite signing with ESPN to be part of “SEC Nation.”

3. Southern University beats Champion Baptist College 116-12 and sets an NCAA record by jumping out to a 44-0 lead to open the game.

4. Brett Hundley ran for 161 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 226 yards and two scores to lead UCLA to a 42-12 rout of Virginia Tech in the Sun Bowl Tuesday.

9. On this date in 1999 Ron Dayne scored four touchdowns to lead Wisconsin to a 38-31 win over UCLA in the Rose Bowl. Cade McNown led a Bruin offense that racked up over 530 total yards in a losing effort.
