Not sure were you got La Serna’s passing yardage number, but Long had over 1,800 yards passing even before the Aliso Niguel not 1,066, so you shorted him nearly 1,000 yards.

Long, just a Junior, finished the season with over 2,000 yards passing & 25 TD’s.

Not bad for a guy who didn’t have 3 of his top 4 WR’s, his top TE, and 2 of his top 3 RBs almost the entire season.

Looking forward to a big senior year for Mr. Long and the Lancers next year.
From T. Peterson: Max Preps. But it looks like it has been updated since I posted.

It will be hard for the Mid to ignore Pioneer next week but I know you will give it a shot. Bring on the hate. As for the Titams its business as usual. Another turkey dinner on the practice field.
From T. Peterson: We have covered them in the playoffs before. We’ll probably make it out there.

    hahahahahaha

Air raid you say? Kept saying this all year but LS just ain’t that good anymore. Not because of injuries or lack of talent and size… but because they lack what RHP has, discipline.

    @ HS Football Follower,
Oh man those 1970’s TC football teams under Hitchcock were something else. Didn’t they win like 5 or 6 CIF SS championships in the 70’s. Rio Hondo League had some really great football going on then. In between those TC championships, South Pas and La Canada each came away with one a piece as well. 1970 – 1979 was the decade of Rio Hondo League Football. And that is back when CIF SS was like only 5 divisions.

In division 4, we have Villa Park vs. San Jacinto on the top of the bracket, while Oaks Christian plays La Habra on the bottom of the chart. If Villa Park and La Habra both prevail, it will be a championship game between two coaches who both came out of St Paul (Dusan Ancich and Frank Mazzotta Jr.). Sorry for the interruption; I now return everyone back to the business of RHP and LS.

Rio Hondo prep will prevail well disciplined and methodical hard nosed ball 🏈 on the ground and that pass will sneak up on you modern day Temple City mid late 70’s!

Numbers go out the window in a game like this. This is when Grady Long shows why he’s the 1, big time players make big time plays in big time games. RHP won’t know what hit them by 7:45, expect LS to Air Raid!!!

? …. Things to consider in that analysis. It was the first game of the year for Rio , and they played most of the game without their premier running back.
It should be a great game !

One number you left out. LS and RHP had one common opponent,Schurr. RHP beat Schurr 20-9/ LS beat Schurr 28-0. A 17 point differential in LS favor.
From T. Peterson: I was just mainly looking at stats and numbers, offensively and defensively, not common opponents. But that is good info. I added it. Thanks.
