(Monrovia) – Miles Bryant, who was slated to be the starting quarterback at Monrovia this year, has transferred to St. Francis Monrovia HC Chris Stevens confirmed Wednesday.
Bryant was the backup to DeShawn Potts last year and appeared in three games while completing 8 of 16 passes for 164 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Bryant, only a sophomore, is the brother of Mason Bryant who starred at Monrovia as a kicker and receiver before graduating in 2013.
Kennedy Bryant, Miles’ father, also confirmed that he has transferred.
“All things considered it’s the best move, Kennedy Bryant said. “It breaks my heart that he is leaving Monrovia but it’s for the best.”
