1. Clayton Kershaw fires a no hitter and strikes out 15 in the Dodgers 8-0 win over the Rockies.

2. Nogales is still looking for a head football coach.

3. Texas shuts out UC Irvine to eliminate the Anteaters from the College World Series.

4. The Kansas City Royals beat the Tigers 2-1 to extend their winning streak to 10 games.

5. Blake Bortles signs four-year, $20.65 million deal with Jacksonville.

6. The Lakers work out Kentucky forward Julius Randle.

7. The United States Patent and Trademark office has canceled the Washington Redskins’ trademarks on the basis that it is “disparaging to Native Americans.”

8. Apparently Steve Singiser has replaced his brother Jim Singiser as the head football coach at Arroyo according to Max Preps.

9. The late great Lou Gehrig was born on this day in 1903. Happy Bithday to Dirk Nowitzki who turns 36 today.

10. “Probably the Beatles’ White Album.” – Seattle Seahawks receiver Steve Largent when asked which one of his records he’ll cherish the most after retiring from football.
