1. Linebacker Danny Trevathan, who led the Denver Broncos with 124 tackles last year, will miss six to eight weeks with a fracture in his left knee.

2. Steve Ballmer officially becomes the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.

3. Quarterback Brady Quinn agrees to terms with the Miami Dolphins, his seventh NFL team.

4. There are no charges pending against NASCAR driver Tony Stewart in the accident that killed fellow driver Kevin Ward Jr. Saturday night, but an investigation continues.

5. The Seattle Seahawks send out a statement saying that the alleged assault accusation against running back Marshawn Lynch is “bogus.”

6. The Kansas City Royals had won eight straight going into Tuesday night’s games and have moved into first place in the American League Central.
