(El Monte) – Arroyo jumped out to a 27-0 lead and went on to beat Rowland 27-15 Friday night at B.L. Bergstrom Stadium.
Chaz Miller threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another to pace the Knights. He hit David Cotero in the first quarter on a 50-yard strike and found Moises Medrano in the second for a 55 yard score.
Randy Amezcua returned from injury and scored on a two-yard run for Arroyo in the first for a 14-0 lead.
Rowland got on the board late in the third on a ten-yard quarterback keeper. The Raiders also picked up a safety and scored again in the final quarter.
It was the third straight win for Arroyo improving to 3-1 while Rowland fell to 1-2.
