This is a Top Ten list not a prognostication list…Nipomo, Cantwell, Arrowhead Christian all crashed and burned, but they are not finished. As of now there are only two dominant teams: Maranatha and Pasadena Poly. Shadow Hills is a team no one should want to play right now. For the record Bishop Montgomery has won four of its last five but…sorry…Love you honey, but I just can’t smile.

.) Maranatha Minutemen, 9-0 (Olympic League): Play furious, take no prisoners, finish the regular season unbeaten…I told you.

.) Pasadena Poly, 9-0 (Prep League): Parker Matthews can’t lose!

.) Shadow Hills Knights, 7-2 (De Anza League): From out of the Shadows they play like a dream…Make you feel crazy, make you feel so mean. Nothing gonna save you from the offensive line…Slip to the darkside and cross that line…

.) Nipomo Titans, 6-4 (Northern League): Said they were capable of a hiccup against Templeton…Turnovers/rain left them gasping.

.) Heritage Christian Warriors, 6-3 (Olympic League): Anyone that takes this team lightly in about fourteen days will be turning in their gear on day fifteen.

.) Templeton Eagles, 7-2 (Northern League): Either they conjured up the old have it rain on your opponents side of the field trick or…they took advantage of a convergence of factors and got the win.

.) Cantwell Cardinals, 7-2 (South Catholic League): The bad news is it was a loss…The good news is they learned a valuable lesson against Verbum Dei. Lesson being just because you are Cantwell no one is going to let you win.

.) Arrowhead Christian Eagles, 8-1 (Ambassador League): We said they were cruising for a bruising…and they got bashed. Not the way to be heading into the Third Season (Playoff Season)

.) Big Bear Bears, 7-2 (De Anza League): The league title has slipped through their fingers, but redemption is still in their hands.

.) Morro Bay Pirates, 4-5 (Northern League): Hanging on by a thread after a tough bye week. Tough because there are teams knocking to get in like Linfield and Verbum Dei. The Pirates are truly the monkey in the wrench, the pain in the neck…

Others (in no order): Valley Christian (6-3), Twentynine Palms (5-4), Linfield Christian (5-4), Verbum Dei (4-5), Mission Prep (4-5), Rio Hondo Prep (4-5).
