1.  Back-to-back 10 win seasons and two GNAC conference titles, the nation’s leading rusher in all four NCAA divisions and a #22 ranking in the coach’s poll, but the APU Cougars get left out of the NCAA Division II playoffs.

2.  Rosemead’s Luis Luna’s eight catches for 174-yards and a touchdown and the game sealing interception in the Panther’s win Friday night over Covina in the first round of the Mid Valley Division playoffs.

3.  The college career of Terrell Watson ends with a season total of 2,153 yards and 29 touchdowns including single game (338-yards) and single half (259 in second half) Saturday night in the win over Menlo College.

4.  The St. Louis Rams knock off the Denver Broncos 22-7 Sunday afternoon.

5.  Kobe Bryant scores 44 points on 15 of 34 shooting but the Lakers still lose to the Warriors 136-115.

6.  Three time Cy Young award winner Tom Seaver turns 70 today.

7.  Pomona at San Dimas Friday night in the second round of the Mid Valley Division playoffs.

8.  On this day in 1940 the Green Bay Packers become the first team to travel by plane.

9.  The Florida Gators fire Will Muschamp but ask him to stay and coach the final two regular season games against Eastern Kentucky and Florida State.
