(Covina)- Colony cornerback Kahlil Dorsey had not intercepted a path in over a month prior to the Titans semifinal game against Charter Oak on Friday night. That all changed in the second half when Dorsey picked off his ninth and tenth passes of the season to key Colony’s 35-26 victory and trip to Central Division finals.

The Titan’s trailed the Chargers 17-15 at halftime took the lead early in the second half when Dorsey picked off a Kam Brown pass that led to 1-yard run by quarterback Josh Thompson.

Charter Oak, plagued by five first half turnovers, eight total, retook the lead, 23-22, when Zion Echols scored on a 9-yard run. Later in the fourth Jaren Surdo added a field goal and the Chargers led 26-22.

Colony came back and pieced together a drive that culminated in a 2-yard run by Ryan Kinnard to give the Titans a 28-26 lead. Then with 3:01 to play fate stepped in, in the form of Dorsey. Dorsey jumped a short pass route and returned it 61-yards for the clinching touchdown.

The victory earned Colony its first CIF final date since 2007 where they will face Los Altos which is making its first title appearance since 2003.
