There were moments when the Los Altos season looked like it was going nowhere, but the Conquerors kept finding themselves and when they found sophomore running back Tyler Nevens they eventually found themselves in the Central Division finals.

Los Altos first title appearance since 2003 was keyed by Nevens amazing season. He rushed for 1,688 yards and 15 touchdowns on 249 carries. Eight times he cleared the 100-yard mark, including the five games leading to the semifinals.

In rounds and two and three of the post season he rushed for 300 yards back to back.

He is the Mid Valley Sports Central Division Newcomer of the year.
