Longtime Muir football fixture Antyone Sims is the Mustangs new head football coach. Sims has also coached and served as offensive coordinator at Duarte High School.
“This is a dream come true, it’s special,” said Sims who graduated from Muir in 1998 and played running back, linebacker, and safety for the Mustangs. “We want to help produce good men of good character.”
Sims, who teaches Special Education on campus, says that Ryan Graves will remain the offensive coordinator. “We’re looking at a couple of guys on our campus to replace Chase Keough at quarterback.”
No defensive coordinator has been named. “We haven’t have a coaches meeting yet,” said Sims. “Our goal is to show our face in the community and let the community know who we are.”
