1. South Pasadena Girl’s basketball is 15-1 and 4-0 in Rio Hondo League.

2. East Coast blizzard postpones two NBA games.

3. On this day in 1894 the first college basketball game was played as University of Chicago defeated the Chicago YMCA 19-11.

4. US Women’s Soccer National team first of two send off games before Women’s World Cup will be played at Stub Hub Center on May 17 against Mexico.

5. On this day in 1991, “Wide Right” Super Bowl occurred.

6. La Canada boy’s basketball is currently in second place of the Rio Hondo League with a  3-1 record, South Pasadena currently leads the league.

7. Martin Brodeur officially retires from hockey after 22 seasons and will take job with the St. Louis Blues.

8. APU Women’s basketball embarks on Hawaii road trip beginning Thursday night.

9. Clippers and Kings have begun their long “Grammy Road Trip” today, the Lakers begin theirs on Friday.

10. “I hear the swells are 1-3 feet.” – APU Women’s basketball coach T.J. Hardeman when asked about the daunting Hawaii road trip.
