Kick it!

Right off the Top: I’ve always been a Dodger fan, but my second team in the National League has always been the New York Mets. My first team in the AmericanLeague, since nearly getting into a fight with vendor at the Big A in 1984, has been the Cleveland Indians.

So far this season I have seen the Mets three times and the Dodgers only on “Quick Pitch”…Therefore, until I can see Dodger games on my flatscreen on a regular basis, call me Mr. Met…

I’ll still say “Go Dodgers”…but not against the Mets.

I love Matt Harvey!

Covina serving up some Bacon on defense…The Valle Vista should be very interesting this season…Too bad for the Colts for the first time in a decade Pearnell Smalley won’t be in the backfield.

I’m gonna say a weird thing here…so don’t get crazy on me…stop reading right now if you are faint of heart… La Canada…In the Rio Hondo League, I’m saying La Canada is going back to the playoffs and could (could I say) sting somebody before its over.

Did you know in the four divisions we cover (Central, Southeast, Northwest, Mid-Valley) thirteen schools either finished at .500 or above missed the playoffs in 2014. The take away from this is, is be careful about who you schedule.

ESPN’s Britt McHenry, wow, she’s got a sparkling personality.

I’ve been out of the loop did Mayfair hire a replacement for Mike Fitch?

Another week, another lawsuit for Jameis Winston. With that said I believe he is the better choice for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I like Marcus Mariota but I wouldn’t draft him inside the top ten. As a Los Angeles Rams fan, I don’t want them taking him in 2015 and bringing him home in 2016.

If San Diego wants to deal Philip Rivers to Tennessee to move and take Mariota I wish them well. Rivers is too good of a quarterback to be wasted in San Diego, and it would be another disastrous move for the Chargers.

Who should the Rams take? Iowa offensive lineman Brandon Scherff or cornerback Michigan State cornerback Trae Waynes. My belief is you can never have enough linemen and you can always use a front line CB.

Speaking of which, I cannot believe the response we got in recent poll asking you to vote for your favorite quarterbacks drafted by the Rams. The Vince Ferragamo, Pat Haden, Ron Jaworski battle was fun to watch…But is everyone aware that Doug Flutie, although drafted by the Rams, was never actually in camp with the Rams? Never worked out for the Rams? Never wore the uniform?

Regards:
In regards to Star Wars: It was just a trailer they showed right?

In regards to Pioneer’s Phillip Hernandez: Yeah, that dude’s alright.

In regards to Marcos Lopez: Very happy to hear he will be staying at South El Monte.

In regards to NFL Network “Classic Game” replay of Super Bowl 14 (I find Roman numerals distracting): Watching it again this week was like having old scars cut back open…This game lingers and pains much more than the Super Bowl 34 heist by the Patriots. Yeah, I call it a heist.

In regards to the chances of me watching an NBA Playoff game: About the same as me gushing and posting on FB my joy over the new Star Wars trailer.

The Dude abides…
