1. Former New England Patriot star Aaron Hernandez  was found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.

2. The Atlanta Hawks Thabo Sefalosha, who suffered a broken fibula and ligament damage in an altercation outside of a Manhattan club last week, says his injuries were caused by police.

3. Wednesday was Jackie Robinson day in the Major Leagues with every player wearing number 42 in honor of the former Dodger who broke the color barrier 68 years ago on April 15.

4. “I don’t care if the guy is yellow or black or if he has stripes like a blanking zebra. I’m the manager of this team and I say he plays. What’s more I say he can make us all rich. And if any of you cannot use the money, I will see that you are all traded.” – Dodger manager Leo Durocher addressing his team in 1947 after there was a mixed reaction to Jackie Robinson being promoted to the big leagues.
