1.  The Golden State Warrior’s Stephen Curry wins the 2014-2015 NBA MVP Award.

2.  The Clippers knock off the defending champion San Antonio Spurs in game seven 111-109 in game seven and advance to face the Houston Rockets. Game one tonight in Houston.

3.  Floyd Mayweather beats Manny Pacquaio in a unanimous decision Saturday night to become the Unfied Welterweight World Champion.

4.  American Pharoah wins the 141st Kentucky Derby.

5.  The Houston Astros have won 10 straight games and are seven games up in the AL West over the Angels.

6.  Pro golfer and currently number one player in the world Rory McIlroy turns 26 today.

7.  The APU Cougar baseball team beat Fresno Pacific in the final game of the regular season 19-6. In the game the Cougars pounded out eight home runs. Daniel Martin hit three and Mitch Dergarzarian added two.

8.  On this day in 1969 the Montreal Canadiens sweep the St. Louis Blues to win the Stanley Cup.

9.  USC Trojan backup linebacker Charles Burks has decided to finish his college football career as a member of the APU Cougar football team.
