1. The Lakers land the number two pick in the NBA Draft Lottery. The Minnesota Timberwolves got the number one.

2. New England owner Robert Kraft  says the Patriots won’t appeal their punishment from the NFL in the Deflategate investigation.

3. Former Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson transfers to Florida State.

4. Mid Valley Classic in Baseball: Temple City at Arroyo – Thursday 3:15 pm.

5. Golden State Warriors Center Festus Ezeli.

6. San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Justin Smith announces his retirement. Smith is the third defensive player to retire from the 49ers this off season joining Patrick Willis and Chris Borland.

7. The Miami Dolphins sign quarterback Ryan Tannehill to a four-year $77.7 million contract extension.

8. The San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders have hired former 49ers President Carmen Policy to spearhead the push for the proposed $1.7 billion football stadium in Carson.

9. Arroyo’s Shynia Torrez hits a three run walk off home run to beat Lancaster 5-2 in the first round of the CIF Division 4 Softball Playoffs.

10. On this day in 1985 Larry Holmes wins a 15 round decision over Carl “The Truth” Williams to retain the heavyweight title.
