Isaac Mendibles and the Oilers travel to El Monte to take on the Lions.

All games at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.

San Marino (0-0) at Arroyo (0-0)
A tough season opener for the Knights. San Marino returns the potent combination of Carson Glazier and J.P Shofi while Arroyo is breaking in a new QB. Arroyo will need to control the clock to keep it close.
San Marino 42 Arroyo 20

Northview (0-0) at Rosemead (0-0)
Both teams have quarterbacks and playmakers in the backfield and on the edges. Both teams lost a lot of size and experience up front. The game should be close but Hooper and Cooper and company will do just enough.
Northview 24 Rosemead 20

Montebello (0-0) at El Monte (0-0)
El Monte has the edge at quarterback with Dominguez but Montebello has the edge at running back with Mendibles. Can the Oiler defense stop the high paced Lion offense? They will just enough to get the win.
Montebello 35 El Monte 31

Los Altos (0-0) at Baldwin Park (0-0)
Katie bar the door because this one could get ugly real fast. Los Altos is coming off an appearance in the Central Division final and Baldwin Park is breaking in a new staff. Conqueror HC Dale Ziola will call the dogs off early and still win big.
Los Altos 50 Baldwin Park 7

Schurr (0-0) at Bonita (0-0)
Bonita looked solid in their scrimmage with Northview while there are a lot of new faces for the Spartans both at quarterback and coaching staff. It’s going to be a rough trip to La Verne for Schurr.
Bonita 49 Schurr 10

Pomona (0-0) at Oak Hills (0-0)
The defending Mid Valley Division Champion Red Devils travel to Hesperia to take on a Bulldog team that reached the Easter Division semi-finals. It may take a series or two to get going but Pomona’s talent will rise.
Pomona 42 Oak Hills 24

Azusa (0-0) at Nogales (0-0)
Aztecs are a perennial playoff team and Nogales, well let’s just say they struggle year in and year out to find their identity. The game will be close early as the teams get used the Friday night lights but Azusa will come out on top.
Azusa 35 Nogales 14

Mt. View (0-0) at Bassett (0-0)
Two programs working hard to change the culture of football at their schools. The teams are evenly matched size and skill wise and the score will show it.
Mt. View 24 Bassett 21
