(San Dimas) Jarell Sykes and Noah Maldonado combine for 167 yards and five touchdowns in the San Dimas Saints 41-7 win over the Maranatha Minutemen in Mark Holman’s debut at the helm.

The Saints started the scoring barrage in the first quarter marching 71 yards on a gruleing 14 plays to put the first points on the board in the Holman era. Maldonado plunged the ball across from one yard away.
It was a long night for the Maranatha offense seeing very little time in the San Dimas side of the field.
From there on out it was all San Dimas scoring four more times unanswered to end the first half in the lead 34-7.
*** Sykes had 62 yards on 14 carries with three scores.
*** David Allen was held to 26 yards on 11 carries.
*** Noah Maldonado got the most touches for San Dimas with 17 carries for 105 yards and two touchdowns.
*** In his debut for Maranatha, Josh Hall struggled hitting on only one pass for 29 yards.
*** The Saint defense was stellar holding the Minutemen to a total of 107 yards of offense.
*** Edward Siapno also had a solid game rushing seven times for 84 yards including a 52 yard touchdown romp.
*** Dexter Myers provided the loan highligth for Maranath taking a kickoff 95 yards to paydirt to tie the game at seven with 4:25 left in the first quarter.
*** The line was dominant and we want to by physical and those guys did a great job. The defense rallys around 44 (Josiah Erickson) we weren’t perfect and we have a long way to go but we have some young guys who are contributing.
*** San Dimas will travel south on the 57 next week to take on Diamond Bar.
*** Maranatha will have their home opener next week hosting Sage Hill from Newport Beach.
