There are a lot of teams that are 2-0, but that does not mean a lot of these teams are good. Nipomo took it on the chin to Lompoc, but no harm no foul…Except Templeton is solid, really solid. Linfield Christian is very much in the hunt. Still keep an eye on Mission Prep. We know it’s early but Maranatha is going to have to find itself or this season’s playoff game will come after a long bus ride.

.) Templeton (2-0, 0-0)—Quarterback Jordan Bernal is coming off the best game of his prep career with three touchdown passes against Beverly Hills this week.

.) Nipomo (1-1, 0-0)—Don’t stress over the Titans non-league record. The schedule is brutal, but it should have them ready when Northern League play begins.

.) Linfield Christian (2-0, 0-0): The Lions are set to begin a three game stretch (playing both Pasadena Poly & Maranatha) that will tell us just how good they can be. Good? Yes. How good? We’ll see.

.) Arrowhead Christian (2-0, 0-0)—After leading the division in scoring a year ago with 574 points, the AC is on high in 2015 with 110 points through two games.

.) Mission Prep (1-0, 0-0)—Running back Brayden Corona kicked off his third varsity season with 211 yards and three touchdowns against Rio Hondo Prep.

.) Notre Dame/Riverside—(2-0, 0-0)—6-1,195 quarterback Niles Harrell makes NDR a very dangerous team.

.) Pasadena Poly (2-0, 0-0)—The Panthers are rolling but won’t be tested until they go to Linfield Christian this week.

.) Maranatha (1-1, 0-0)—HC Steve Bogan has got to keep running back David Allen healthy because the Minutemen may need to grind.

.) Valley Christian: (2-0, 0-0)—Crusader quarterback Jesse Smith has been fantastic, but the defense is the best in the division so far.

.) Bishop Montgomery: (2-0, 0-0)—Knights quarterback Brendan Marafino is off to a nice start.
