Kyle Trudell and the Condors have their work cut out against San Marino

All games are 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated

Thursday September 17

San Marino (3-0) at California (1-2) (Pioneer)

San Marino has been racking up the points and Cal gave up 43 last week vs. Pomona. The Titans won’t put up 84 again but 45 wouldn’t be a surprise. Cal needs to keep San Marino off the field. That will be a tough task.

Friday September 18

St. Francis (2-0) at Monrovia (1-2)

The Golden Knights got a big win over Moorpark last week while Monrovia got a not so big win over Arcadia. If the Cats gave up 45 to Arcadia how much will St. Franks put up? The Golden Knights simply have too much for M-Town. St. Francis by two touchdowns.

St. Francis 31 Monrovia 17

Santa Fe (1-2) at Burroughs (1-1)

Burroughs has won big and lost big. Santa Fe got a W but it was over a South El Monte team that hasn’t exactly been setting the world on fire. The Indians look good on this one. Chance Bell and company should run over the Chiefs.

La Serna (2-1) at South Hills (1-2) (Covina Valley District Field)

Will we see the good South Hills or the bad South Hills? A comment on our boards said that these weren’t Steve Bogan’s Huskies. We know that but then again they did beat a very good Diamond Ranch team. La Serna lost its first last week in a close call with Mira Costa. Another close one here but the Lancers come out on top.

La Serna 21 South Hills 17

Crescenta Valley (1-1) at La Canada (2-1)

The Falcons loss last week probably just made them angry. The Spartans might hang around…for a half. After that Tyler Hill and the birds get going. It could get away in the fourth. CV rolls.

Crescenta Valley 35 La Canada 14

Arcadia (0-2) at Maranatha (2-1)

This will be a fun one to watch. The scoreboard should light up. Maranatha still smarting from last week’s loss to San Dimas. The Apaches could be just the medicine they need having allowed 102 points in two games. The Minutemen will need more than a minute, but they’ll get it done.

Maranatha 37 Arcadia 27

Millikan (2-1) at Downey (1-2)

Another tough match up for Downey and another loss? The Viking faithful hope that’s not the case but Millikan is no joke. On the bright side Downey will be tried and tested once league play begins. Millikan and the Vikings will trade punches through the first three rounds. Downey goes down in the fourth.

Millikan 30 Downey 21

Mayfair (2-1) at Valley Christian (3-0)

Mayfair won its first two battles against less than stellar opponents but last week was belted by a solid Sonora squad. Valley Christian is another stellar opponent. The Crusaders have outscored their first three opponents 47-6. The Monsoons will be their toughest test to date but Valley remains unbeaten.

Valley Christian 28 Mayfair 21
