- The Philadelphia Phillies fired manager Rob Thomson Tuesday. Thomson was in his fifth season at the helm. Don Mattingly will take over as interim manager.
- The Phillies reached out to Alex Cora, who was recently fired by the Boston Red Sox, to see if he was interested in the job but he turned it down.
- The San Antonio Spurs beat the Portland Trail Blazers 114-95 Tuesday night to wrap up their first-round Western Conference playoff series in five games.
- The Lakers will face the Houston Rockets Wednesday night at home in Game 5 of their Western Conference playoff series. The Lakers lead the series 3-1.
- The Philadelphia 76ers staved off elimination with a 113-97 win over the Boston Celtics Tuesday night. The Celtics lead the Eastern Conference playoff series 3-2.
- The Baltimore Ravens signed undrafted Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia Tuesday.
- The NCAA is set to expand the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments to 76 teams.
- Charter Oak head football coach Dominic Farrar was recognized as a 2025-’26 CIF State Model Coach Award winner. The award is given to a coach that serves as a positive role model at his school and in the community.
- Former NFL defensive lineman Josh Mauro, who played eight seasons for three different teams, passed away last week at the age of 35. His last season was with the Arizona Cardinals in 2021. A cause of death was not given.
