Knoop Steps Down at Burroughs

If Burroughs HC Keith Knoop wants to hold this trophy again, any time soon, he needs to find a quarterback. The Indians have lacked serious passing game since Lucas Yanez's departure after the 2010 season.

Keith Knoop helmed the Burroughs program for 19 years.

Knoop posted this on Facebook this morning:

To the JBHS Family, I want to thank everyone who has ever helped me make Burroughs Football what it is today. 24 years of Players, Coaches, Parents, Boosters,Teachers, Aides, Administration, Office staff, Counselors, custodians and anyone whom I’ve missed. Also any one at the district and other schools who have showed a compassionate hand towards my program.
I have been Coaching football at John Burroughs for 24 years, 19 of that as Head Coach. As of today I have stepped down from the Head Coach position and will focus on taking some time off. I will be taking care of the PE department and enjoying a little less stress. I will be ready for a new adventure in the future.

Once Again, Thank You
