1. USC guard Katin Reinhardt is transferring out of the school he announced on Twitter Monday. Reinhardt is the third USC basketball player to declare he would transfer in the last week joining forwards Malik Martin and Darion Clark. Also guard Julian Jacobs is considering leaving for the NBA draft.

2. UCLA began spring workouts Tuesday as the Bruins held the first of 15 practices over the next three weeks.

3. Baldwin Park has hired Joe Fuller as its new head coach sources confirmed Tuesday.

4. Harvard offers La Mirada WR/DB Elijah Hicks.

5. UNLV hires Arkansas Little Rock head coach Chris Beard as its new HC.

6. LA Kings announcer Bob Miller, who had heart surgery eight weeks ago, plans to return to the team at the start of next season.

7. Free agent safety Husain Abdullah, 30, who spent the last three years with the Kansas City Chiefs has decided to retire. Abdullah cited health concerns suffering five concussions in the last seven years.

8. Happy Birthday to Seattle Seahawk cornerback Richard Sherman who turns 28 today.

9. On this day in 1998 Kentucky beat Utah 78-69 to win the NCAA title.
