Note to high school baseball coaches. Get your rosters up on Max Preps. I got out to a game last week and got a few nice shots, only to go home and find out that there were no rosters and no players listed.

I posted a couple of pictures but they had very generic captions – just listed their schools. Get the names and numbers posted. It’s an injustice to the kids when they’re not.

And another thing that bugs me. The “Utley” rule is an absolute disaster. It would be one thing if the rule that applied was only in effect when it resembled the Chase Utley slide. Personally I didn’t think the Utley slide was illegal but I can see where it might create arguments, so thus the rule was installed. However on the two plays this week they wasn’t any physical contact involved yet the player was still called out. On one play, the guy slid directly across the bag and reached out and gave the shortstop a love tap on the ankle as he went by. He was ruled out and the game was over. Horrible! As Toronto manager John Gibbons said after the game, “Maybe we’ll all come out wearing dresses tomorrow. Maybe that’s what everybody’s looking for.”

This has to be it for Mike Scioscia right? The Angels are off to a 1-4 start and there appears to be no relief in sight. Although he’s not responsible for all of the Angels woes, (he needs more pitching) he is still living off of the 2002 World Series. Dodger fan here and I’ve always liked Scioscia, but it’s time for a change.

Yes I know Time Warner, the Dodgers, and all of the other involved powers that be, are for the lack of a better term, screwing, 70 percent of the fans in Los Angeles. But why over the last month or so have several people told me that they are fed up with DirecTV and are looking to switch cable companies? They have told me that they get bad customer service, and increased rates but nothing in return. Again, I’m not an advocate for Time Warner, but it’s just ironic, funny.

The jury is still out on the Eric McIntyre hire at El Monte. The real question is not whether or not McIntyre can be successful, it’s will he be supported by the administration? It’s no coincidence that the football programs that are consistently good year in and year out, have the complete support of the administration- financially and otherwise.

Yes, Jim Singiser is still the head coach at Arroyo.

So I’m hearing that tickets for Kobe Bryant’s final game are going for upwards of $7000.00 for court side seats and more than $800.00 for nosebleed. My question: The Lakers are still playing?

That’s my principle.
