1. Pasadena Marshall has dropped its JV Football program. For now the Varsity is still intact.

2. The Arroyo softball team has won eight straight games while outscoring their opponents 99-17 during the streak.

3. Arroyo’s Shynia Torrez is batting .457 with 5 HR and 13 RBI.

4. Former Norwalk safety Dante Foster, who played on the Lancer team that went 13-1 and fell to La Serna in the CIF Southeast Finals, has signed to play at Oklahoma Baptist.

5. The Gladstone football head coach search.

6. Chino’s 2016 non-league schedule: at Damien, at Baldwin Park, Hillcrest, Los Osos, Don Lugo.

7. Bonita sophomore Tommy Delgado is batting .397 with 4 HR and 16 RBI. The Bearcats are 17-2 overall and 6-1 in the Palomares.

8. Former Norwalk/Idaho RB Elijah Penny is working out with the Houston Texans this week.

9. USC HC Clay Helton has decided to continue the quarterback competition into Fall Camp. Redshirt junior Max Browne is the favorite with the top contender being redshirt freshman Sam Darnold.
