2. According to NBA league sources the Golden State Warrior’s Steph Curry will be named League MVP for the second straight season.

3. The Washington National’s Bryce Harper set a Major League record reaching base seven times Sunday without an official at-bat. He walked six times and was hit by a pitch the other.

4. Johnny Bench hit three home runs in a game for the second time in his career on this day in 1973.

5. After winning back-to-back games over the Blue Jays, the Dodgers have made their way back into first place in the NL West.

6. Kevin Durant scores 41 to lead the Thunder past the Spurs 111-97 and even the series at two games apiece.

7. The Angels continue their slide in the AL West losing their last three and are now five games under .500.

8. Former USC head coach and current Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin turns 41 today.

9. An early Fox Sports college football poll has Alabama #1 and Florida State #2. USC is #21.
