1.The USC Trojans return to Howard Jones Field to begin fall training camp this Thursday August 4th at 5:00 pm.

2. Yasmani Grandal went 3-for-4 with a double and a home run and drove in three as the Dodgers routed the Diamondbacks 14-3.

3. Sebastian Lletget scored his first goal of the season in the 78th minute in Sunday’s game against Seattle to help the Galaxy earn a 1-1 draw on the road against the Sounders.

4. Former Muir Mustang, UNLV Runnin Rebel and Atlanta Hawk Stacey Augmon turns 48 today.

5. Reggie Bush is expected to sign with the Buffalo Bills provided he passes a physical. It will be Bush’s fifth team in 11 seasons.

6. “Mr. October” Reggie Jackson was enshrined in the MLB Hall of Fame on this day in 1993.

7. San Dimas and Bonita will kick off their 2016 football seasons with the annual Smudge Pot game Friday August 26th.

8. On this day in 1957 Dodger Gil Hodges hit his 13th career grand slam to set a NL record.  On the same day 20 years later Willie McCovey hit and sets a new record at 18.

9. La Serna’s 2016 non-league schedule includes La Costa Canyon, Lakewood, Mira Costa, St. Francis and Tesoro.
