I don’t see more talent then last year team. 14 seniors all starters. But then again when Spathais got fired kids quit. There freshman team from last year pretty much didn’t come out this season to play. They had last season 10 coaches this year 4 so really how can a team improve Long is the head coach offensive and defensive coordinator. Last year they had Urias and Williams to great coaches. Compare to last year team there small in numbers.

If Spat was there they would run the table. Pomona is down, the only team that would have gave them trouble. Bassett has more talent this year than last year. They blow out Mt. View last year and Azusa is not the Azusa of old with their new coach. It all starts with the clowns running the district.

Yea, if Spathias was there’s they’d definitely be 2-0. They had their best team coming back loaded with young talent (for that schools level) but the administration is so incompetent starting with the super. I heard all of their coaches (in all sports) are quitting. They’re all tired of the BS…

From what I heard from a few kids that play at Bassett he transfered because they got rid of Spathais. Reyes was a good fit for Bassett. A lot of freshman from last year didn’t come out either. No freshman team this year. Lack of coaches.

Please tell me why anyone transfers INTO Garfield? Is it so they can play in the ELA Classic at ELA college’s stadium?

If it’s legit transfer he won’t sit, or he’d sit 30days. But from what I heard is the back ahead of him is better.

Okay anon Bassett be 1-1 lol. I’m surprised Azuza only beat them by one. Undersized kid was good for Bassett. Anon does he have to sit out games for transferring or the backs ahead if him at Garfield more talented?

@bassett football, no way they’re 2-0 with angel there. He’s even tell you that. He’d probably have better stats tho, lol.

Angel Reyes Bassett’s 1st team All League running back as a sophomore last season. Now at Garfield High School. Bassett is 0-2 Garfield is 0-2. If he stood at Bassett they could easily be 2-0. So far at Garfield the stats show not a single carry. So it goes to show u at one school u can be a star and If u transfer sometimes u can’t even get into the mix.
