2. Former Carolina and Dallas LB Greg Hardy arrested in Richardson, TX on cocaine possession charges.
3. Alexi Nazarin (La Canada), Kristen Winiekci (San Dimas), Natalie Contreras (Covina), and Irma Ramos (Gladstone) were local students honored by CIF for the Champions for Character Award.
4. Atlanta Falcons defeat the New Orleans Saints, 45-32 in Monday Night Football.
5. Lou Farrar (Charter Oak Football Coach) and Gabriel Sanchez (Bonita Golf Coach) honored with CIF Champions for Character  Award. Longtime Rosemead Girls Frosh Basketball coach Chuck Lyons given the Commissioner’s Award.
6. Toronto and Baltimore lead AL Wild Card Standings by 2 games. Mets and Giants lead NL Wild Card by 1 game. There is one week left in the regular season.
