1—Sources report that the Charlotte Hornets have traded LaMelo Ball and Josh Green to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Naz Reed and a 2033 first-round pick to go with three second-round picks starting in 2029. The teams will also swap first-round picks in 2028, 2029 & 2030.

2—Dodgers’ shortstop Mookie Betts hit his 300th career home run last night (6/24) off Minnesota Twins’ starter Joe Ryan.

4—Switzerland defeats Canada, 2-1, to win Group B of the World Cup.  Canada will face South Africa on Sunday in the knockout round in Los Angeles.

5—Detroit Lions CB Terrion Arnold turned himself in on Wednesday (6/24) and is facing four counts of kidnapping and armed robbery in Tampa, Florida. Arnold was drafted 24th overall by the Lions in 2024 out of Alabama.

7—WNBA releases “Thirty Poster” to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The image features the league’s all-time best—but omits Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird, & Caitlin Clark.
