Big night for San Marino’s Michael Chan
(San Marino) – Michael Chan ran for four touchdowns and Blake Cabot tossed a 22-yard touchdown pass to Jules Buenabenta to lead San Marino to a 41-20 rout of South Pasadena Thursday night.
Chan’s touchdowns came on runs of one, six, 19 and four yards. The last two coming in the fourth quarter as the Titans blew it wide open. Cabot’s TD strike came in the second quarter and along with Beau Hobbie’s 13-yard touchdown run lifted San Marino to a 20-13 halftime lead.
With the win the Titans improved to 5-4 overall and 3-1 in the Rio Hondo League – good enough for second place. The Tigers fell to 3-1 in league and 7-2 overall. South Pas will face Monrovia next week.
