1. The FBS’ #2 Clemson, #3 Michigan and #4 Washington all lost Saturday.

2. The Dodgers trade Howie Kendrick to the Phillies for Darin Ruf and Darnell Sweeney. Sweeney was a former Dodger’s prospect.

3. APU’s Kurt Scoby rushed for 211 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s loss to Colorado Mesa.

4. In 10 games South El Monte’s Ruben Aguilar has recorded 114 tackles.

5. Former APU Basketball standout Troy Leaf is now the assistant basketball coach at The Master’s University. Troy’s younger brother T.J. is averaging 17 points and 10.5 rebounds as a freshman for UCLA.

6. Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling turns 50 today.

7. Through 10 games Sierra Canyon’s Trevor Howarth has 109 total tackles and 3.5 sacks.

8. On this day in 1990 Laker James Worthy was arrested in Houston and charged with two counts of solicitation.

9. The Los Angeles Clippers have won six straight and are 9-1 on the season.
