1. Boston Red Sox’ right-hander Rick Porcello wins the AL Cy Young Award. Max Scherzer of the Washington Nationals won the NL Award.

2. The Green Bay Packers claimed running back Christine Michael off of waivers one day after he was cut by Seattle.

3. Steven Gerrard, who signed with the LA Galaxy in July 2015 leaving his home town team in Liverpool, announced he will not be back with the team next year.
