Kick it!
On my car radio in Los Angeles, I can pick up four sports talk stations: ESPN 710 & 830, Fox 570, and 97.1 (FM) The Fan.
On the way to work Sunday Morning…the ESPN affiliates were running the Los Angeles Angels game, and 570 was broadcasting the Dodgers pregame. None of these games were relevant to the pennant.
And the NFL was kicking off…This is why people go to non-terrestrial radio and podcasts for their sports content.
Taking my daughter to school this morning—with the NFL and college seasons in full vigor, drama with Sark, Arch & Rowe—97.1 The Fan gave me a segment on the top ten hot dog toppings.
Looking forward to the Rams on Monday night…everyone is writing them off…no more talk about the Super Bowl and an undefeated season…and they could easily end up 2-4, 2-5 by mid-October…but when they hit the field in the divisional round of the playoffs in January, everyone’s going to claim that they expected them to be there all along…Such is football in Los Angeles.
A year ago, the sports media set the Green Bay Packers up as the Super Bowl favorites in the NFC. Now they’re talking about Matt LaFleur being the problem.
Normally, I’d want to watch a good game on Saturday, but now—Go Ole Miss!
The Manning War Room called a meeting. They put Arch in the hot seat and told him, “Yes, the AI of Sark & Holly Rowe was funny, but you need to apologize. There’s a brand to protect, and too much money on the table to walk away. So apologize.”

I thought this one was much funnier…
Arch issued an apology, but my money would be he didn’t mean it, and neither did his family. It was all about keeping the engine humming.
Note to Female Reporters: Welcome! Maybe not as a play-by-play voice, but welcome to sports. But if you can’t run with the big dawgs, stay on the porch. The world you’ve entered doesn’t have to modify itself to accommodate you. Be a Lara Rutledge, be a Michelle Tafoya, don’t be a Holly Rowe.
So if you are an Arizona Cardinals fan…while you know it was a great win in SoFi last Sunday, you also know you’re not going anywhere in 2026. Why not trade Marvin Harrison Jr. before he completes another so-so season and loses what remains of his value?
You can always find someone to catch the ball, but Harrison could get you a Top 100 draft pick or two. Kansas City’s receiving corps is awful, the Chargers should be desperate, and Baltimore ought to be in the market — I’d make that deal in a heartbeat.
Next Add Chiefs: Were they that good on Monday, or were the Denver Broncos that bad? Do you think Kenneth Walker will be healthy enough to run like that all season? Is KC going to get away with Patrick Mahomes not going downfield the whole year?
Last Add Chiefs: Kahlil Benson, the UDFA out of Indiana who started at left tackle on Monday, played 69 snaps, allowed zero sacks, and only three pressures. I’m not expecting Benson to be great, but his performance is making me wonder if players coming out of Indiana will get a second look, second consideration, and the benefit of the doubt because they played for Curt Cignetti.
Will they be a type like Villanova players under Jay Wright, Michigan players under Jim Harbaugh, and Notre Dame players under Marcus Freeman?
The Chicago Bears will beat the Minnesota Vikings this week at Soldier Field, but if Carson Wentz drops 30 on the defense, questions will have to be asked.
The same goes for the Cincinnati Bengals, who are heading to Houston to play the Texans. If Joe Burrow lights up that “Greatest Defense Ever” this week, after it got torched by Josh Allen last week, eyebrows will be raised.
#109—May the San Francisco Giants rot and lie stinking in the earth…
Last Add Cardinals: If the Redbirds can go into SoFi and beat the Bolts, they can win at home against the Seattle Seahawks and Drew Lock.
The Dude abides…

Tons of AI reels and insta shorts are men whacking women around. That ain’t cool either but that is AI. BTW AI is going to kill us all within ten years so there’s that.
If you think treating women poorly is cool, then I can’t get behind that. I’m all for some good locker room talk. I don’t even think sark blowing her off was bad, and I don’t think her getting upset about it is bad either, but the aftermath of it all hasn’t been good at all.
From Joe T.: It was AI…No one hit her…There was no need for the kid to apologize…But we always have to have a victim and always have to have a villain.
