3. The Lakers are routed by the New Orleans Pelicans 105-88 to fall to 9-10 on the year.

5. UCLA junior defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes announced he is making himself available for the NFL draft.

6. Mark Helfrich is out as Oregon’s head coach the school announced Tuesday.

7. Former NFL star Darren Sharper was sentenced to a 20-year prison term for drugging and raping women in four states.

8. College Football Playoff Rankings: 1. Alabama 2. Ohio State 3. Clemson 4. Washington. USC is number 11.

9. Of our coverage area teams La Mirada, Sierra Canyon, Los Altos and Arroyo are all home for the CIF Finals. Only Burbank is on the road.
