    let me chime in after reviewing stats and some highlights,
    in his league the QB is not the best QB, he is last, in his league the QB (son of the Assistant coach) is not even top 5 athlete of his own school, so I am sure they’re are about 35 players in the whole league better than him,(if you pick top 5 of each school X 7 in league)
    THE HC SHOULD PULL HIS NAME OUT OF HIS LIST , HC should have never sent the list with this athlete as he wasn’t good to be an all star in his league in Offense or Defense,, it is obvious the HC and Assistant are in a Brolove relationship, or maybe it is his Godson?
    Anyway head coach you have dishonored the school, lost trust from your players,shows other incoming kids that you have no character , integrity, so how are you going to make next year or future years better?
    your not! you will leave the program worse than got it!
    Good Luck getting out of this one (called favoritism )

    It isn’t even like its parents of good players that talk this crap. It’s parents of kids who at any other school wouldn’t touch the field let alone start at quarterback.

    Rosemead football has always been very competitive instead of blaming the coach for the team “going down hill” blame your soft kid.

    Head coaches submit the names of their players and the chosen coaches staff picks from those players based on their need.

    When the Coach’s son is playing in the All-Star game, who did not do anything for the Rosemead Football Program, and the best Defensive and Offensive Player on the team is not, now that smells suspect. The parents of this kid have a right to be up in arms over this injustice. Not only are the parents upset but I am sure the entire school community is wondering how this happened? Oh yea, I forgot the Coach’s son got picked. The same kid who got booed on the field for being such a horrible QB. Why did he play QB? oh yea keep forgetting his Dad is one of the Coaches. Rosemead Football is going down hill quickly and the head Coach just seems to stand around and watch and continue to be loyal to this Coach who is constantly sabotaging him behind his back. Wake up Coach P. Yet another reason we use the “Anonymous” we don’t want the same thing to happen to our son’s. One more year to go and then we are done!

    You sound like a sour parent whose kid lost his job to that qb. Suck it up this ain’t youth sports. Why don’t you reach out and ask the coach why little Timmy didn’t make the game.

    @MVL
    You need to understand that many of theses boys may not be allowed to play because they could loose their scholarships if they get hurt in the game. Not all nominated players are going to be playing. It will be by the need of the coaches. I saw Aaron Cantu play in one of the All Star games a few years ago. So this is a chance for some boys who are really good to get some recognition against others who are better then perhaps the best of their league.

    Many coaches from the local JC’s and smaller 4 year schools are still looking for someone they can develop. They probably not D-1 or D-2 but there is a last chance that if they play well they will be contacted. If you have boys who are really D-1 they more than likely can’t or won’t play anyway. But, as a small college or JC coach I would rather have a program where kids will stay and not leave for bigger pastures.

    To Mid Valley reporters and followers I think the All star game is a bunch of BS, coaches are asked too send 2 kids from each school? and not the best in league or area, Example a school with a QB which did not win one single game,and there are 10 players in his own team better. BS, I hope all kids quit on you as you have no honor . question are you going to give him your team MVP?
