1. Pasadena vs. Harvard-Westlake, CIF Division 1A Championship, Friday night 9:00 p.m. – Felix Event Center Azusa Pacific University.

2. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed receiver Antonio Brown to a new five-year, $72 million contract.

3. Free agent guard Deron Williams signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the remainder of the season.

4. The New York Jets announce they will release cornerback Darrelle Revis on March 9.

5. Kevin Durant hyperextended his left knee in Golden State’s 112-108 loss to the Washington Wizards.

6. The Washington Nationals sign pitcher Joe Blanton to a one-year, $4 million contract.

7. The Kansas City Chiefs release the franchise’s all-time rushing leader Jamaal Charles.

8. The Minnesota Vikings decline to pick up the 2017 option on running back Adrian Peterson. Peterson will be free agent March 9.

9. On this date in 1993, the NHL’s new expansion team, owned by Disney, is named the Mighty Ducks.

10. Happy Birthday to former Michigan/ NBA star Chris Webber who turns 44 today.

    #6 They would have gotten more value from that 4 million if they had donated it to Hillary’s 2020 election campaign

    Grew up watching LA Kings on regular TV in the early 80’s and suffered greatly with how bad they were. Grew a hatred quickly for the Quacks in 93 and remember the Ice Man in their debut game. Hard to find on YouTube, the Ice Man was supposed to bring a new, exciting angle to Hockey but was mercilessly booed out of the arena, never to be seen ever again. Their cup win was a fluke, as the real final was played in the eastern final.

    Chris no timeouts Weber, Bill bad hop Buckner, Jim wrong way Marshall. Sports can be great and also humiliating for a lifetime.
