1. Gary Anderson is out as the head coach of Oregon State effective immediately. The university announced Monday that the two parties have mutually agreed to part ways. The Beavers lost to USC 38-10 Saturday at the Coliseum.

2. College Football AP Top 5: 1. Alabama 2. Clemson 3. Penn State 4. Georgia 5. Washington.

3. New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is out for the season after fracturing his left ankle Sunday in a 27-22 loss to the LA Chargers. He will have surgery this week.

4. Miami Dolphins offensive line coach Chris Foerster resigned Monday after a video surfaced on social media of him snorting a white powder.

5. The Los Angeles Rams, who lost to the Seattle Seahawks 16-10 Sunday at the Coliseum, have waived Maurice Alexander, who began the season as the starter at strong safety.

6. Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, needs season ending surgery to repair the tibial plateau fracture he suffered Sunday in the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

7. The Houston Astros beat the Boston Red Sox 5-4 Monday to win the ALDS in four games.

8. Schurr at Montebello, Friday night, 7:00 p.m.

9. Arroyo, now 7-0 after a 14-13 win over South El Monte last Friday night, has El Monte, Marshall and Mt. View remaining on the regular season schedule.

10. Happy Birthday to former Chicago Bear/Hall of Fame linebacker Mike Singletary, who turns 58 today.
