1. All of the teams in the Del Rio League are 3-4 overall.

2. The New York Yankees erase a 4-0 deficit to beat the Houston Astros 6-4 and even the ALCS at two games each.

3. The Lakers open the NBA season against the Clippers Thursday night at Staples Center at 7:30 p.m.

4. Doctors have cleared Tiger Woods to practice without limitations. Woods hasn’t played since he withdrew from the Dubai Desert Classic on February 3 due to back spasms.

5. Yu Darvish allows just one run in six 1/3 innings and the Dodgers beat the Chicago Cubs 6-1 in Game 3 to go up 3-0 in the NLCS.

6. Glendora at South Hills (Covina District Field) Friday night, 7:00 p.m.

7. LeBron James scored 29 points to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 102-99 win over the Boston Celtics to open the 2017- ’18 NBA season. Celtics forward Gordon Hayward fractured his left ankle in the first quarter and could be out for the year.

8. St. Francis, 7-0, has Salesian, Harvard-Westlake and Cathedral left on the regular season schedule.

9. “Just an update: 2-5 St. Paul who had a loss to unranked D-10 Montebello has just gone from being ranked 7th to now being ranked 5th in CIF Div 6…. This is getting comical. They’re actually getting ranked higher after losses.” – MVS Commenter “FBFan”.

10. Happy Birthday to former sportscaster Keith Jackson who turns 89 today.

    Got to give it up to Monrovia this week they didn’t just take the week off they’re going to play a team that won CIF last year they’ll be at Valley Christian Friday night. I think they can win this one I think they shook the cobwebs and are ready to roll let’s see what happens Friday night
