    Peterson,
I will respectfully agree to disagree. Unlike Get Back Coach aka Chain Gang aka Assistant to the Assistant you have credibility.
I would like you to answer two questions. #1 what would Arroyo’s record be if they had Glendora’s schedule this year? #2 If Singiser and his best staff was put at Mt View in 2000 does he ever win a league title?

    @Anonymous,
I agree with your assessment. The only team on your list they beat is Diamond Bar maybe Bonita. Arroyo’ s talent is good enough to win the MVL. But nowhere good enough for anything else. So to all you Arroyo homers, ” stay on the porch you little Chihuahuas before the big dogs bite you “.

    Objective,
That’s Arroyo’s claim to fame. “Battled against a great team and came up short.” Against Hart, Sierra Canyon, Los Altos, etc. Sorry but moral victories won’t make us believers. That’s not hard to do when 7 of your 10 games this year were cupcakes. Give them Glendora’s schedule and it’s a different story. They are not 9-0. What would you experts predict their record to be if they played Kaiser, Damien, CO, Los Altos, West Co, Claremont, Diamond Bar, South Hills, Bonita and Ayala?

LA shouldn’t be winning games this year. They lost more than half of the team to graduation yet they have held their own. They are a very young squad yet they compete. I hope DR underestimates them.

I have been following our area football since 1970. Past players talk. Other teams coaches talk. I get it..if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying.
Win and be successful with dignity. Badmouthing other teams just leaves you open to having rocks thrown back and your glass house.
You may want to replace that whole wall from the rocks that I threw back.
Feel free to carry on disrespecting other teams. I’ll be quiet now until come playoff time.

Like I said. Enjoy your success this season, but history has PROVED when you can not thump your chest and badmouth other teams you just ask for relief.
And that my friend is chicken*h*t in anyones book. Except of coarse SH’s.
By the way…did you guys ever give Glendora their game laptop back? Asking for a friend.
And where did you guys decide to put up your transfer in’s after Boganville was uncovered?
Are transfer players still living in other parents garages?

I can do this for the next month. Try me.

    Bad Covina team?????

We NEVER asked for relief from CIF. How many times did SH cry for it? I lost count.
You have to go back 8 years to find a season where SH made it thru the 1st playoff game.
Enjoy your success this season, but enjoy the Hacienda next year. (after your baseball team cried for relief ).
If nothing else you can come watch our second game of the playoffs this year. You will be free that Friday night.

    Your turn……

    Terrible huh,

Let’s see, beat Crenshaw, Ayala, Glendora, Mira Costa, and put a real scare into CO. arroyo beat SEM by 1, barely beat a bad covina team. Let’s not compare to those older teams. Right here right now SH would roll Arroyo. The fact your writer said SH is terrible tells what we already know about this site, not very knowledgeable!!!
From T. Peterson; Ayala- 4-4, Mira Costa – 4-4 – mediocre, Lucky to beat Glendora 5-3, and a scare into CO….what..CO killed them…that’s the game he said they were terrible. By the way why are you crying, we ranked you number 5. And you…not we-you- say we’re not knowledgeable yet you read us every single day. Thanks for the clicks son. By the way did Singiser cut you or something and that’s why you’re so bitter..ha ha. Oh and Covina, SEM and Schurr are a combined 20-4. Do your homework.

    @fridayknights

This guy is delusional. Different competition level. The teams you claim you can hang with are BIgger, Faster, Stronger. LA, SH, Glendora, Ayala, Diamond Ranch, would toy with you guys. You would be a stat Game for those teams. Keep pounding your chest on this blog, deep down inside you know what would really happen.

No, Arroyo would not defeat South Hills nor Glendora, but, come on folks. Let’s not get carried away. Arroyo can hang with Glendora and South Hills without being physically dismembered. Arroyo is robust and could be competitive vs a Glendora, a South Hills, and/0r a Northview. I don’t think Arroyo would defeat these teams. However, Arroyo can represent a worthy opponent for such teams.

Arroyo could hang with Mater Dei and St. John Bosco too!! Heck, before you know it we might even call up USC for a game!

#whynot? Because these teams would physically hurt your kids. Easy for you to sit behind a computer and say “We can play with these guys!” I think your HC knows enough to understand the physical punishment the Arroyo kids would take against the top tier teams in the area could ruin a complete season. Rightfully, he’s not willing to take that chance.

It’s all in fun….you start taking it to seriously and you get old mate. These hypotheticals can be annoying but entertaining as well. In all seriousness I hope we add a South Hills or a Los Altos next season… #whynot?

@FridayKnights South Hills would absolutely roll you guys. They will beat you up and down the field all night. As far as SH not being like the team from the early 2000’s this team is 7-1. Last time that happened was 2008 where they started 8-1. Let me remind you SH only loss is to Charter Oak whom is 8-0 #1 in Div 3. SH has seen better QB’s than Chancho. Oh and the receivers from Crenshaw and Charter Oak don’t even compare to the receivers or whatever you call them @ Arroyo. You play teams like SEM and win 14-13. C’mon now. Just putting the FACTS out there for you. You do not want to see The SH’s and Glendora’s of the East SGV.
    Strength of Schedule
    SH- +23
    Arroyo- -6.5

    Peterson,
You’re right. That SH team was legit. But so was that Arroyo team. Are you both going to sit there and tell me that today’s Arroyo team is better than the 04 team? Considering Arroyo this year has 7 cupcake games.
Size in this case won’t matter. SH then, and today is still better all around than Arroyo.
From T. Peterson; No the ’04 Arroyo team was much better but so was the SH team. Like I said it’s not even close. Today, Arroyo would lose to CO, Cathedral, St. Francis, etc. but South Hills isn’t in that class. I’ve seen both teams, the game would be close. One of our writers came back and said South Hills is terrible. I won’t go that far but I will say they are very vulnerable. Arroyo QB is better than SH and the skill players are similar. I wouldn’t be shocked if SH won but I’d pick Arroyo 31-28.

LA has nothing special a good QB and that’s it. Came off strong now DR is going to take them to the wood shed and drop 40.

  21. October 25, 2017 - 8:42 pm | Permalink

I am being humble. If humble is a matter of perception. I agree Sierra Canyon charter Oak cathedral are flat out on a different level than Arroyo but anyone else Arroyo can hang with if not beat. As for SH well I’d love the challenge. Just because you bang on your chest and claim a score 10 years ago that’s fine. Remember that’s when South Hills was Well… South Hills! This SH is nowhere near that team. Stop living in the past. I’ve seen SH skill guys 5’7 receivers 5’6 runningback. SH might have the edge upfront but not by much. The X factor is Camacho is light years better than the SH QB. Arroyo wins 35-28
