@RV: Another hyper was Bill Walton. I had to turn off the volume when UCLA was on local TV. Every UCLA kid that made a warm up time layup is the next Michael Jordan. He ranted wildly every time Ball passed the rock.

@ sgv: Yes, Magic Johnson hyped Lonzo Ball when the Lakers drafted him. And, that’s putting it mildly.

Believe it or not the kids like the school but 3rd coach in 4 yrs is just too much. To hear this administration does not want to recruit when the other local schools do is just a shame. As others have posted, Cantwell will be strictly an academic school soon.

@HH: I do not know who hyped this kid, Magic maybe, but it is wishful thinking that he is going to turn into an NBA player. Hot dogs only sell well in the cheap seats

Well Cantwell-Sacred Heart has hired a new HC to run their football program, good luck!. You will have to building from scratch, since most of the quality players have left or will leave to play for other schools.

While the NBA playoffs are in full swing, the Laker brass remain shuttered in their glitzy El Segundo offices, scratching their heads over possibly having wasted their pick with the Ball kid. Lonzo lacks toughness, and you can’t build a franchise around a guy who’s not studly. Magic and Rob may need to scuttle the son-of-a-bragger and start over.
