1. The Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 124 -114 in overtime in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

2. Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue says he is being treated for anxiety. Lue took a medical leave of absence in March.

3. The Washington Capitals beat the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 Wednesday night in Game 2 to even the Stanley Cup Finals at one game apiece.

4. The Dodgers fall to the Philadelphia Phillies 2-1 Thursday night to drop to 26-30 on the season.

5. Tiger Woods shot a 72 in the first round of the Memorial Tournament.

6. Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel says he is “very comfortable” in Canada after signing with Hamilton Tiger Cats of the CFL.

7. Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray is expected to play for the Sooners this year regardless of what happens in next week’s MLB draft. Murray, a center fielder for the Oklahoma baseball team, is projected as a high draft pick. Murray backed up Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield last season.

8. On this day in 1975 the Angels’ Nolan Ryan threw his fourth no-hitter in a 4-0 win over the Baltimore Orioles.

9. Golden State Warriors guard Nick “Swaggy P” Young turns 33 today.

10. “It helps if the hitter thinks you’re a little crazy.” – Nolan Ryan.

    It helps to have the mental edge over any opponent in ANY sport. You don’t have to exude craziness, but rather the unshakeable calm of knowing you hold the upper hand. Achieving this state of mind is easier said than done, but it’s a major key to success.
