[San Gabriel] – Davon Booth had 11-carries for 263 yards and 3-catches for 66 yards while scoring six touchdowns to lead El Monte to a 52-7 rout of Gabrielino.

Lions scored on their second play of the game on a 45-yard run from Booth and never looked back.

El Monte took a 45-0 lead into halftime.

Abel Cueva had 64 yards on the ground and found the end zone on a 40-yard touchdown reception.

Lions quarterback Nathan Velasquez went 4 of 4 for 106 yards and 3 touchdowns with the other two going to Booth.

Eagles found the end zone late in the game when Steven Gomez found tightend Mike Diaz in the end zone and the extra point was good.

El Monte looks to stay perfect in league when they host rival South El Monte next week, while Gabrielino finished the year at 4-5 overall and 1-4 in the MVL.

Heard MRI came back, and it doesn’t look good! He’s done for season…
From T. Peterson: Better re-check your sources. Booth is completely healthy. Never had crutches, was never hurt.

The 2005 SEM team was the best in its school history. That SEM team, at full force (health), would have won our modern day division 8 Championshp, and laughed at division 12 or 13. The quality of our present day football has diminished significantly.

Went to see practice today and seen Booth in crutches asked one of the kids And he said he’s out ……… did not want to elaborate
From T. Peterson: Don’t know where you’re getting your information. Booth is completely healthy. Never was hurt.

Haha yea it exactly like that night I MEMBER very well. Perhaps the stupidest move probably in history of SEM football was leaving Lee in that game. Very similar situations and guess what they’re both very very STUPID! and karma reared it’s ugly side! I hope EM back isn’t hurt at all. I just heard he was but if he is it could cost them a CIF ring all for the sake of stats? Freaking stupid with a capital idiotic!

    @Coach Thompson

Karma? You mean, like the time Lee Aguirre blew out his knee, up 40-0 on El Monte?

You member, right? Yeah, you member. How did it go? It was the night before Christmas…..no wait……it was the 4th quarter at the Swamp, and SEM was up 40-0, and EM hadn’t even crossed midfield to that point. Time to put in your second string? Nah!!!

Let’s leave our all world, awesome dual-threat, amazingly-talented Quarterback in on defense. Whatcha talkin bout Willis!!!??? Yes, still in the game, playing defense. Lol

    Karma?

Yes sir. You recall how it went, right? With the whole stadium silent, you could hear the SEM players crying, “Oh Lee!!!! Oh Lee!!!! Oh Lee!!!!

    Karma?
His own player was blocked into him and blew out his knee.

    Costly?
It only cost them SEM’s first ever outright Mission Valley League Championship. The very next week, in arguably the biggest Mission Valley League game in history, they played an undefeated Rosemead Panther squad with a replacement quarterback. SEM gave Rosemead all they could handle with a replacement quarterback. Actually, they even had a fourth quarter lead in that game, but evidently it wasn’t enough.

Karma? Karma? Karma? Karma? Karma? Karma?

El Monte best ever! Hahaha last years Arroyo or SEM team would’ve rolled these guys no problem! Check you guys out you beat Arroyo for once and now you’re talking like your Mater dei! Heard you rb got hurt while you were trying to pad his stats! Karma karma

With a lot of key players missing it’ll be tough for El Monte to win. I’m saying 38-14 El Monte. South does not make the playoffs.

I’m sure they’re referring to the best EM team but even your 05 South team or 16 Arroyo team vs this EM team are some good games.

Tell me again who won the El Monte v. Arroyo game ? Figured it wouldn’t take long till you came on here to try and convince people that you were cheated. Poor little knight. Go crawl ba CV k uh under your rock and kiss your MVL title goodbye.

Lol oh stop it! Don’t believe that staff go watch a game and add up the carries yourself 14 vs mt view 15 vs Rosemead 13 vs Gab . In that offense that’s equivalent to throwing while up by 40!

El Monte’s best ever? No. An average South from the past would give this team a challenge. A decent team would beat them. I wonder if Arroyo or South might get some mystery transfers next year.

I’m gonna out EM HC here, I think he’s blatantly disrespectful to the gentlemens rule on blow outs. Booth gets 300 yards on a lowly Gabby? Lol 250 on Mountain View, Another 260 against Rosemead in a game that was over by halftime? In blowout games why would this kid ever need to run for 250? Classless! Way to run it up. This kid is on his way to 2,000 yards and it’s probably a goal of his head coach but I have zero respect for numbers just for the sake of numbers when you disrespect the rules of the game the football karma police will catch up to you!

From Duane B: To put in a little perspective Booth had a total of 27 carries in the three games your are talking about. That averages to 9 per game. I would hardly say that’s being disrespectful!

I couldn’t be happier to congratulate coach C and the rest of the team on what they’ve brought to the city. More games remain, so stay focused and healthy. Last time Jesse was in a title game, the kicking game proved fatal, but this time the kicking game (as in kicking butt) will be the difference.

Get over it. Maybe when you had the opportunity you should have worked as hard as the current staff and players. Instead of hating maybe you should walk over to Coach C and pick his brain. Might work for you in the youth level!
