1. The New Orleans Pelicans take Duke’s Zion Williamson with the number one pick in the NBA draft.

2. The Utah Jazz acquired point guard Mike Conley from the Memphis Grizzlies for Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder and two draft picks.

3. The New York Mets fired pitching coach Dave Eiland and named Phil Regan, 82, interim pitching coach.

4. Dodger pitcher Rich Hill is placed on the injured list until at least August with a flexor tendon strain near his left elbow.

5. The Tampa Bay Rays will explore a plan with MLB to play their homes games in both the Tampa Bay area and Montreal.

6. The Dodgers entered Thursday night’s action with the best record in baseball at 50-25.

7. The Grizzlies took point guard Ja Morant from Murray State with the second pick in the NBA draft and the New York Knicks took Duke’s RJ Barrett third.

8. The LA Galaxy are 9-6-1, second place in the MLS West behind LAFC at 11-4-1.

9. The Rowland Tournament will be held Saturday June 29th at Rowland High School.

10. Parking is $1 at the Visitor Lot and $3 at the Home Lot this Saturday at the SGV Shootout at Arroyo. Homemade Mexican food will be sold at the snack bar as well as Gatorade, soda & water.

    Petersen Note:
    #11 local San Dimas kid, Peter Lambert, will pitch at Dodger Stadium today. He’s 2-0 with 6.0 era going up against Ryu. I wonder if anyone from San Dimas will be there today? (Rhetorically speaking)

    Damm, got punked by Whittier coaches and teammates AGAIN! Did the same at Monrovia. Not a good look kid make a choice and stick with it.
