(Covina) – Legendary long time Charter Oak head football coach Lou Farrar has been diagnosed with leukemia the school announced on its Twitter page Tuesday.
Farrar has been coaching football for 51 years and has been the head coach at Charter Oak for 38 years. Farrar has won five CIF Southern Section championships with Charter Oak and has accumulated 331 total victories.
Farrar is hoping to find a donor that can help fight his battle with leukemia, and the school is conducting a cheek swab on July 20 at 10 a.m., at Charter Oak High School.
Charter Oak posted this on their Twitter page.
