1. The Chargers fired OC Ken Whisenhunt.

2. The Rams traded cornerback Aqib Talib and a draft pick to the Miami Dolphins for a future draft pick.

3. The Lakers’ LeBron James was forced to evacuate his Brentwood home around 2:00 a.m. Monday morning due to the Getty fire.

4. The Washington Nationals beat the Houston Astros 7-2 Tuesday night to force a Game 7 in the World Series.

5. The Seattle Sounders beat LAFC 3-1 in the MLS Western Conference Final Tuesday night.

6. The Cincinnati Bengals (0-8) announced that quarterback Andy Dalton will be benched and Rookie Ryan Finley will start Sunday November 10 against the Baltimore Ravens.

7. Cathedral at St. Francis, Friday night 7:00 p.m.

8. Temple City was at the South Pasadena one-yard line with one second left in the game Monday night. The Rams failed to convert and fell to the Tigers 21-14 to drop to 2-5 on the year. South Pasadena is 6-3.

9. The Dodgers are rumored to be exploring a trade for Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor.

10. On this date in 1974 Muhammad Ali knocked out George Foreman in the eighth round in “The Rumble in the Jungle” in Zaire to regain the Heavyweight title.

    I hear O.J. is trying to acquire the James house, so he can come back to his old neighborhood. His motto is: ‘if it doesn’t burn, you can return.’
