2. Long time assistant Eric Elias, who has spent the last three years at Schurr, has stepped down from the Spartans staff.

3. Steve Randall has stepped down as the head coach at Colony.

4. Arizona State upset previously sixth ranked Oregon 31-28 Saturday.

5. The Lakers are 14-2 heading into Monday night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs.

6. Former Whittier Christian DC/ Maranatha HC Pete Karavedas has coached Sunny Hills into the Division 8 Finals where they will play at Santa Barbara Saturday night.

7. According to Coach Chris Fore who tracks football head coach changes for EightLaces.org, this year is the fastest they’ve hit 30. He has been tracking since 2016.

8. Baltimore Ravens at Rams, LA Coliseum, Monday Night 5:15 p.m. ESPN.

9. Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar turns 56 today.

10. On this date in 1980 Sugar Ray Leonard regained the WBC Welterweight crown when Roberto Duran quit in the 8th round of the infamous “no mas” fight at the Superdome in New Orleans.

    Adelanto could have benefited greatly by having Duran as head coach last Friday. All punches would have been pulled, and the EM Lions would be playing this week.
