Orioles 15 Yankees 0

The Orioles scored eight runs in the third inning and cruised to a 15-0 shut out of the Yanks. Ryan Verdugo hammered a three run home run and Angel Lopez hit a two run shot to lead the barrage.

Verdugo had a single in addition to the dinger and Jefrey Becerra also had two hits. Jerry Garcia (no relation to the late Grateful Dead singer) held the Yankees to just one hit over four innings. The lone hit was a single by Elijah Saenz in the fourth inning.

May 8

Yankees 8 Baldwin Park National Aztecs 7

Drea Vasquez hit a two run double and Andrew Vasquez whacked a bases loaded triple to lead the Yankees to the one run victory.

The Yankees were down 6-4 before rallying for four runs in the bottom of the fourth to pull it out. In the inning, Brian Gonzalez reached on an error and Christian Zalada walked. Victor Ledezma beat out an infield hit and Vasquez cleared the bases with a triple to center. Devin Garcia drove in Vasquez with a single up the middle.

Blue Jays 12 Bassett Dodgers 2

Giovanni Garcia supplied the sock with a three run jack and a double and Manuel Bugarin had two hits as the Blue Jays racked up a dozen runs and eight hits in a 12-2 victory.

A six run third inning fueled the Jays. Ricky Garcia ripped a run scoring double and Bugarin, also had a base hit. Luis Espinoza, Ricky Garcia, Bugarin, Giovanni Garcia, Robert Gonzalez and Isaiah Ruiz all scored in the inning.

In the fifth inning, Giovanni Garcia belted one over the center field fence after Ricky Garcia walked and Bugarin doubled.

May 11

Yankees 10 Blue Jays 8

Devin Garcia’s two hits and four RBIs and Elijah Saenz’ run scoring double paced a seven hit attack in the Yankees 10-8 victory.

Giovanni Garcia had three hits and an RBI, and Robert Gonzalez drive in four runs for the Jays who still came up a couple of bucks short.

The Yankees erased an 8-3 deficit with a seven run fifth inning. Victor Ledezma, Saenz, and Devin Garcia all had hits in the inning. Saul Chavez also had a run scoring single.

May 12

Orioles 4 Baldwin Park National Braves 0

Ryan Verdugo and Angel Lopez combined on a no hitter in the Orioles 4-0 win. Verdugo struck out ten and walked three on 82 pitches in five innings. Lopez fanned two in the final frame to finish it off.

The O’s got all the runs they needed in the first inning when Verdugo and Lopez teamed up again. Verdugo tripled to center and scored on an error. Lopez tripled and rolled home on a passed ball.

In the third Jerry Garcia singled and eventually scored on an error. Lopez reached on a failed fielder’s choice and later scored on another error.

May 13

Orioles 12 Yankees 3

The Orioles racked up 12 runs and 13 hits in a nine run rout of the Yankees. Brian Garcia, Julio Mejia, Jefrey Becerra, Ryan Verdugo and Angel Lopez all had two hits in the contest. One of Lopez’ hits was a solo home run in the sixth inning. Garcia and Erick Velazco each knocked in two runs.

The Birds picked up six in the fourth inning to break it wide open. In the inning, Velazco doubled in Lopez and Becerra, while Verdugo, and Jerry Garcia also had base hits.

Lopez homered to lead off the sixth as the O’s scored three more.

Elijah Saenz and Brian Gonzalez had five of the Yankees’ six hits.
